What our clients say

I contacted Harmonious Dogs because I needed help with 'Onyx'. The initial assessment was nerve wracking, but soon relaxed when Katie and Alison explained the reason for this. From then on we worked slowly, to ensure 'Onyx' could develop at a pace he could cope with.

In time both of us relaxed and started to enjoy the process.

My boy is now in a group with dogs and people he loves to see. It's a time I look forward to each week.

Our confidence and understanding continues to grow and I can't thank Harmonious Dogs team for their support.

We came to Harmonious dogs as recall with our 2 year old Labrador, Seren, had failed.  We’d tried for months without success to get it back.

Katie and her team were amazing.  They quickly worked out what motivates Seren and how to use that to make her want to come back to be with us.  They helped us change our behaviour as well as our dog’s.  After only 3 sessions, the result has been amazing as Seren now enjoys running around, freedom to be a dog, play with other dogs and yet keeps choosing to come back to us.  Recall had returned!! 😃

We’re now all enjoying walks and are so much happier.  Fun has returned. So glad we found Harmonious Dogs and highly recommend them.

I would like to thank you for all the amazing help for me and Betsie.

After trying many trainers and getting nowhere, she is now like a different dog. One trainer told me to have her put down.  I now know the difference between trainers and behaviourists.

Walks with her were stressful, and I don't think either of us enjoyed them. I can now take her out, and walk past other dogs without the extreme reactions she used to do.

We both enjoy our walks now.  I will always be grateful to you, and feel so proud of Betsie.

With grateful thanks

We rescued our French Bulldog in July 2022. Sadly she had been used for breeding at a puppy farm and came to us with no name, not used to living in a house, extremely underweight and understandably frightened and nervous.

Winnie had bolted once from us and thankfully my husband is a runner so he managed to get her back but we knew we needed some help so we reached out to Harmonious Dogs.

After their initial assessment Winnie joined a regular class where we worked on her confidence in a really gentle way. Activities helped Winnie discover play and what she loved and she thrived in using her nose and loved the agility equipment. It also gave Winnie and I a space to bond.

Alison and Katie helped me to find food that helped Winnie put on weight and she build muscle - so much so her luxating patella was downgraded by the vet meaning she didn’t need surgery as the muscle built was helping so much.

With time and consistency Winnie went from a little dog that would stick to my ankles and be terrified of other humans to a confident little dog who loves her walks, loves being off lead and will put some distance between us while she explores and has a wonderful time but at the same time her recall is excellent. Most importantly I was guided on how to read Winnie’s communication to understand if she was uncomfortable so I could help her.

She is the most loving, wonderful dog anyone could ask for. She amazes me that she is so brave and loving after the treatment she was put through.

I would highly recommend Harmonious Dogs to anyone. I think I enjoy their sessions as much as my dogs and all the trainers are so knowledgeable and kind and I love that it’s not a one size fits all type of class or session. They give you and your dog the skills to communicate and build relationships that make happy dogs and happy guardians.

Thank you!

We started taking Vinnie, our Hungarian vizsla, to harmonious dogs when he was 4 months old to help us with his socialisation and his adolescence, which we were finding challenging as his guardians. Initially we only signed up for the 4 weeks of puppy classes but we still attend fortnightly over a year later because not only does Vinnie love going to “school”, as owners we’ve loved watching him become the best version of himself with the care and guidance of Alison. At the start of Vinnie’s journey I cried many tears of frustration where myself and Vinnie just weren’t on the same page but with Alison’s help and understanding we now only cry tears of laughter at how much of a doughnut Vinnie is. I can’t thank harmonious dogs enough for helping Vinnie become his true self.

Ever since the first contact with Harmonious Dogs, both my dog and I have been made to feel welcome and special. All the trainers are  highly motivated and knowledgeable. The dogs and owners are always treated with equal respect. the groups are put together with clear consideration of the individual dogs different need. The sessions are varied and the dogs are allowed to work and learn at their individual speed and I feel well supported  when learning something new. My dog absolutely love going to the sessions and be able to have a social play as well as learning new skills. I can’t recommend Harmonious Dogs highly enough.

Hi, my name is Missy. I love class!! I get to play and learn with my friends. We are all different shapes, sizes and have our own personalities. My mum likes it too. She gets lots of tips and advice about me as I grow up from the trainers. I joined when I was 20 weeks old. I am now 8 months old and I don’t want my mum to stop taking me.

I would like to thank and recommend Alison and the team at Harmonious Dogs. I contacted them to help Rupert at 6 months old post post-surgery in October 2023. At 16 weeks, he was diagnosed with bilateral luxating patellas and a femur twist requiring plates to both femurs, all needing urgent surgery.

He had left hip laxity and one testicle. Also, a mild fracture to the growth plate on his right knee. This was months of recovery, so Rupert missed the important window of socialising and became very frightened of the outside world. I  did my best, but I  needed help from a professional team to guide and support me through Rupert's recovery. They were fantastic. Rupert had assessments and was put in an amazing group of dogs and guardians who accepted him and taught him good behaviours and fun!

At just over a year, Rupert had another operation to remove his retained testicle, which again proved to be difficult, and a benign tumour from a knee. Once again, Alison helped us through another spell of recovery. Now Rupert is doing really well, and I'm so proud of him. We both love going to Harmonious Dogs training field on a Friday with the friends we have both made.

As a first-time dog owner, I admit I didn't think I was the best person for him, but with the support of Alison and the team's expertise in training and medical aftercare, we have an amazing, happy, loving dog living the life he should be having. A massive thank you to everyone involved. We would not be where we are today without you.
